Civil Services Examination 2013 notification released. As expected, there's a change in the pattern of Mains examination. But UPSC has infact went steps further.

1) Increased weightage of General Studies,
2) reduced weightage of Optionals and Personality Test,
3) English paper is no more just a qualifying paper. Now Comprehension and Precis will have a weightage with the essay paper.
4) No mention of any language paper.
5) Now there will be 4 papers of General Studies, implying weightage to all the sections. The expectations from aspirants have certainly been pushed uphill by the UPSC.
